Fishing season is almost here and the Te Arawa Lakes Trust will be issuing fishing licences this year via a ballot process and LIVE draw on Facebook.

There are 3 easy steps to getting your licence this season;

  1. Register your interest for a Fishing Licence with the Te Arawa Lakes Trust.
  2. Watch the LIVE Draw at 10am on 22 September 2017.
  3. Complete payment and registration.

Terms and conditions of Ballot for Fishing licences

Send an email with your full name, DOB, Address, Contact phone number and the type of licence you want to [email protected]  by 5pm on 21 September 2017. No late registrations will be accepted.

You must be a registered beneficiary of the Te Arawa Lakes Trust to qualify for the ballot. The database will be checked prior to the LIVE draw.

Kaumatua/Kuia over 65yrs will receive the License FREE

All other licences will be subsidised 50%

The LIVE draw will take place on Friday 22 September 2017 at Nukuteapiapi and all recipients will be advised by email or phone post the DRAW. No correspondence will be entered into.

If you are successful in being drawn for a fishing licence you must come to the Te Arawa Lakes Trust office from Monday 25 September to Friday 29 September between 8am to 6pm to make the required payment  (or if free) and to complete the online registration process. Any licences that are not paid for or collected by 13 October will be reallocated.
