Recruitment for our new Tumu Whakarae | CEO is underway.

Established as a result of the Te Arawa Lakes Settlement in 2006, and founded on the legacy of the 100-year-old Te Arawa Māori Trust Board, the Trust actively works to enhance the environmental, economic, social and cultural wellbeing of our people, whenua and wai. We represent 56 Te Arawa iwi and hapū who whakapapa to the 14 returned lakes.

We have a great team of more than 100 kaimahi delivering services for our taiao and whānau every day, and a senior leadership team that is committed to upholding our teachings of the past, while working for a better future for hapū and whānau.

As a peak Te Arawa entity, we have a strong national profile and are active within the Iwi Chairs Forum, advocating for the betterment of Māori nationwide.
